Toshiba updates its dynabook Qosmio WXW laptop for the Japan market. The new Qosmio WXW packs GeForce graphics and SSD for storage.

We can expect two lines, the Qosmio WXW/79GW and Qosmio WXW/77GW. The Qosmio WXW/79GW is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo T9400 2.53GHz processor and a NVIDIA GeForce 9800M GTX graphics with 1GB of memory, while the Qosmio WXW/77GW sports a Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor and a 512MB GeForce 9700M GTS.

Both models have 2GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive, DVD+/-RW burner, a 17-inch WSXGA+ LCD display, WiFi 802.11b/g/n and an eSATA port.

A specific model of Qosmio WXW/79GW line, the PAWW79GLN20W comes with 128GB SSD in addition to the 160GB hard drive.

The Wind U120H and U120H are basically the same. They have an Atom 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM, 160GB hard drive and a 10-inch display. The U120H comes with also integrated 3G module.


Toshiba released its first 16 inch display notebooks in the form of the Satellite A350, A355, and A355D. These laptops support a maximum of 4GB RAM, up to 400GB hard drive and a built-in DVD burner. Its display offers 1,366 × 768 pixels resolution with aspect ratio of 16:9. All models will boast harman/kardon stereo speakers, an integrated webcam and microphone, 802.11a/g/n WiFi, Ethernet LAN, three USB ports, an eSATA/USB combo port, ExpressCard slot, 5-in-1 media card reader and Firewire port. The price starts from $649.99 upwards, depending on the specs.


LG Korea today launches its new LCD HDTVs from its XCanvas LH30FD series that consists of a 47 inch, 42 inch and 32 inch LCD HDTVs. All of them boast a Cinema Color technology that offers the best Video quality and color contrast. LG also aimed to provide a series of TV capable to reduce up to 70% its power consumption. No word on pricing at this time.

Sony Ericsson has confirmed the new affordable W395 Walkman phone that has a 2MP camera, Bluetooth, a couple of stereo speakers, dedicated control keys for music, and FM Radio. Each purchase will come with a 1GB memory card and HPM-64 Stereo headset. The W395 Walkman supports GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 and will be available in selected markets from Q1 in the Dusky Grey and Blush Titanium.


Available in silver, blue, or red, the Sony DCR-SX41 DV cam boasts 60X of optical zoom, a 2.7 inch touchscreen, and 8GB of internal memory which can be further expanded via the Duo slot. You can store 4 hours of video recording in HQ mode using a 16GB Memory Stick. Measuring 53mm × 107mm × 59mm and weighing 240grams, the Sony DCR-SX41 DV Cam will be released next month for 50,000 Yen or approx. $550.
