The previously rumored Samsung NC20 mini laptop is now officially announced. Instead of Atom 1.6GHz that powers its brother NC10, the NC20 is equipped with VIA ULV U2250 1.3GHz processor and VIA VX800 media system processor. You can expect 1GB of DDR2 RAM, integrated VIA Chrome9 video chipset and 160GB hard drivemag-glass_10x10 Laptop : Samsung NC20 VIA Nano-powered Netbook.

The HD-capable Samsung NC20 features a 12.1-inch 1280×800 LED-backlit LCD screenmag-glass_10x10 Laptop : Samsung NC20 VIA Nano-powered Netbook, a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, Atheros WiFi 802.11b/g module, Bluetoothmag-glass_10x10 Laptop : Samsung NC20 VIA Nano-powered Netbook 2.0 and a 3-in-1 card reader. It comes with a 6-cell battery.

Mitsubishi announced the new XD221U classroom projector that comes with a 10-watt speaker and audio mix capability. Based on TI’s DLP technology, the Mitsubishi XD221U features a XGA 1024×768 resolution, 2300 lumens brightness, 4000 hours of lamp life, and BrilliantColor technology.

As mentioned, the XD221U has the Audio Mix function. It has two separate 3.5mm audio inputs and a special built-in audio mixer so the projector can simultaneously project audio from two sources.

Mitsubishi XD221U operates with noise level of only 26 dBA in low mode. It has dual VGA , S-Video and RCA video inputs. The projector is available now.

Sony announced two new Blu-ray disc players, the BDP-S360 and BDP-S560. Both players feature full HD 1080/60p and 24p True Cinema output, Precision Cinema HD Upscale technologymag-glass_10x10 Blu-ray Player : Sony BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 Blu-ray Players, support for Deep Color video output and AVCHD discs encoded with x.v.Color (xvYCC) technology.They both play BD-R/RE (BDMV and BDAV modes), DVD+R/+RW, DVD-R/-RW, CD, CD-R/RW (CD-DA format), and JPEG on BD/DVD/CD recordable media. Sony BDP-S560 comes with built-in WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n wireless connectivity allowing access to BD-Live content.

These two Blu-ray players includes support for 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding as well as bit-stream output via HDMI. They are also DLNA ready.

Sony BDP-S360 and BDP-S560 will be available in Summer for $300 and $350 respectively.

Apple introduces updated iMac desktop computer, available in 20-inch and 24-inch models. Starting at $1199, the new Apple iMac is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo up to 3.06GHz, up to 4GB of memory and up to 1TB of hard drive. New iMac gets NVIDIA GeForce 9400M, or 256MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 120 or 512MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 130 graphic cards.

All four models have a 8X Slot-loading SuperDrive 8X DVD Dual Layer burner, WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, iSight camera, a FireWire 800, and six USB 2.0 ports. The 20-inch model offers 1680×1050 resolution while the 24-inch models have 1920×1200 resolution. All of them are bundled with the new wired keyboard that comes without number pad.


In addition to new standalone Blu-ray players, Sony introduces also the BDV-E300 and BDV-E500W Blu-ray home theater systems. Both models support BD-Live and 7.1 channel Dolby TrueHD and Dolby Digital Plus, DTS-HD High Resolution Audio, and DTS-HD Master Audio audio codecs.

The more advanced BDV-E500W features integrated S-AIR wireless audio capabilities and the BDV-E300 is also S-AIR ready. They both include Digital Media Port, BRAVIA Sync, Precision Drive technology, and Precision Cinema Upscaling technology. They have Sony’s Xross Media Bar (XMB) UI.

Sony BDV-E300 and BDV-E500W will be available in June for $600 and $800 respectively.

Other than the 7.1-channel Blu-ray systems, Sony presents the HT-SS360 component Blu-ray home theater system. The 5.1-channel HT-SS360 comes with a a component A/V receiver offering 1000-watt of power and three HDMI inputs. It supports HD1080/24p and 60p video, and LCPM audio output. Like Sony’s other home theater systems, the HT-SS360 includes Digital Media Port, DMPort Booster technology, and BRAVIA Sync.

At the same time, Sony brings the new HT-CT500 home theater sound bar that comes in two pieces, a sound bar and subwoofer. Sony HT-CT500 is a 3.1-channel system with 400-watt output power and a fully functional A/V receiver built into the subwoofer. It has three HDMI inputs and is S-AIR ready.

Sony HT-SS360 Blu-ray system and T-CT500 sound bar are priced at $350 and $500 respectively.

This is VAINO, aka COOLVAIO, is a netbook that clones Sony’s VAIO P. In terms of physical dimensions, this VAINO, measuring 250 x 185 x 31mm, is more close to a standard netbok than the VAIO P.

The VAINO is powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor, 1GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive. You can find a 10.2-inch LCD display and a 1.3 Megapixel webcam, together with support for WiFi 802.11b/g. The VAINO COOLVAIO runs Windows XP. It weighs 1.3kg.

The VAINO is priced at just 2599 Chinese Yuan.

GE’s General Imaging introdudces the new G3WP waterproof digital camera. The camera has a 12.2 Megapixel sensor, 4x optical zoom, 4.5x digital zoom, a 2.7-inch LCD displaymag-glass_10x10 Camera and Camcorder : GE G3WP Waterproog Camera and ISO up to 3200.

The G3WP offers Auto Scene Detection, Pan-Capture Panorama, Face Detection, Smile Detection, Blink Detection and image stabilization function. It is waterproof up to to 10 feet.

MSI launches in Japan the new PX600 Prestige Leather notebook in Japan. The PX600 Leather is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 2.4GHz processor, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce 9300M GS graphic card and a 500GB SATA hard drive.

MSI’s PX600 comes with a 15.4-inch 1680×1050 LCD display. It supports WiFi 802.11a/g/n, Bluetooth and comes with a DVD burner, a 2 Megapixel webcam and a 4-in-1 card reader. You can find an HDMI output, three USB 2.0, an eSATA and an IEEE1394 ports.

The MSI PX600 Prestige Leather has a leather cover and comes bundled with a 4GB USB Flash drive.


Samsung introduces the new NP-Q1EX-71G UMPC, the newest member of Samsung’s Q1 series. Instead of the popular Atom processor, Samsung’s NP-Q1EX-71G is powered by VIA’s Nano ULV U2500 1.2GHz processor, 2GB of RAM, VIA Chrome9 HC HD-capable graphic chipset and 60GB hard drive.

The compact Samsung NP-Q1EX-71G offers WiFi 802.11b/g and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. You can also expect built-in SiRF GPS chipset, a SD card slot and a webcam. With a 4-cell 4,000mAh lithium ion battery, Samsung’s Q1EX-71G has up to 4.5 hours of battery life.

Samsung’s new UMPC measures just 8.96″ x 0.9″ x 4.92″ and weighs 1.43lbs. It runs Windows XP Tablet Edition.

A-DATA introduces at the CeBit 2009 its 512GB XPG 2.5-inch SSD, which is claimed to be the Highest Capacity SSD in the Industry, though we have seen PureSillicon’s 1TB SSD and Toshiba’s 512GB SSD before.

LG is launching two new entry-level mobile phones, the GB125 clamshell and the GB330 slider. The GB123 is pretty basic with a color display and FM radio. You can expect three LED lights on the cover showing SMS, Call and battery status. It’s price is about $65.

The LG GD330 is a little bit more advanced. With a style like the LG Secret, the GD300 has a 2.2-inch display, a 2 Megapixel, FM tuner and two touch-sensitive keys. The price will be $200.

Both phones will be released in 25 March.

The PMA, Pandigital shows the world its new PanTouch Clear 10.4-inch digital photo frame that is the thinnest in the industry. The new frame measures just 1/3-inch thin, that is the company’’s first digiframe with a ultra-slim profile design.

Toshiba launches in Japan the new Regza C8000 series LCD HDTV. Three models are available, the 42-inch 42C8000, 37-inch 37C8000 and 32-inch 32C8000. All of them come with integrated TV tuner. These new Regza TVs are eco-friendly having a 51% lower power consumption.

The 37-inch and 42-inch model both offers 1920×1080 Full HDmag-glass_10x10 LCD HDTV Toshiba Regza C8000 Series LCD HDTV resolution while the 32-inch has a 1366×768 resolution. Asus, introduces the new EzLink series wireless LCD monitor. Unlike conventional displays, the EzLink series connects using Wireless Host Controller Interface (WHCI) or USB Host Wire Adapter (HWA) via USB cable.

Along with the EzLink series, Asus shows the VH192C and VH196 energy-efficient green LCD monitor. According to the company, these two displays save more than 20% in power consumption while offering ,brilliant image performance without sacrificing brightness.

Yashica launches in Japan the FS-500 pocket film scanner. The FS-500 has a 1/2.5-inch 5 Megapixel CMOS sensor offering up to 3600dpi (5184 x 336) resolution. It has three White LEDs for backlight. It uses USB 2.0 interface.

Don’t even remember Alcatel does made cellphones, yes they are still making phones, including smartphones. The company has recently showed a few new mobile phones:

First of all are two touchscreen smartphones, the OT-707 and OT-800. Alcatel OT-707 is a bar type smartphone with a 2.3-inch 240×320 touchscreen, a 1.3 Megapixel cameramag-glass_10x10 Mobile Phone : Alcatel New Line of Mobile Phones, Bluetoothmag-glass_10x10 Mobile Phone : Alcatel New Line of Mobile Phones, FM tuner and microSD card slot. It supports only dual-band GSM networks.

The OT-800 comes with a QWERTY keyboard and a smaller display. It comes with tri-band GSM and EDGE support. You can find a 2 Megapixel camera and FM radio.

Buffalo offers in Japan the new DVSM-PN58U2V an ultra slim external DVD writer. The slim burner write DVD+/-R at up to 16X, DVD+/-RW at 8X, DVD-RAM at 5X and CD-R/RW at up to 48X. It uses USB 2.0 port.

Buffalo’s new burner is available in Black (DVSM-PN58U2V-BK) and White (DVSM-PN58U2V-WH) and is priced at 8500 Yen. It measures 137mmx142mmx20mm at 340g.
