Sprint officially announced the launch of the new LG Rumor 2 QWERTY phone, which is the successor of the popular Rumor. Like the first generation, the Rumor 2 has a sliding QWERTY keyboard.
LG’s Rumor 2 has a QVGA color display, a 1.3 Megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth, support for full-feature GPS navigation, integrated music player and a microSD card slot. It will be available in Black Titanium and Vibrant Blue. The LG Rumor 2 will be available from Sprint for $49.99 with a new two-year contract after a $50 mail-in rebate.
At the same time, Alltel has launched the LG Banter, which is basically Alltel’s version fo the Rumor 2. It is identical to the Rumor 2 except for the slightly different design.
